i was in a tender evaluation meeting this morning. one of the guys had made an error at the tender opening stage which hindered our process. not knowing what to do, the chairperson asked me. i told him to call a senior manager from the relevant department handling this kind of issues. while he was on the phone with her, one of his officers asked me if that was the ex-wife of the ex-national cyclist. i nodded. after the phone call, the issue was settled. well and good, we can proceed.
suddenly, the officer made a remark to the chairman...i ingat dia akan jawab i tengah cycling. i fumed with anger. i blurted out... that is not a nice thing to say. the chairman laughed and said... itulah kan lelaki. if you have nothing good to say, he paused... just shut up...i finished it for him! i can't remember what else i said.
and for this, i was called a woman activist!!!
