happy birthday nadia nasira

happy birthday my dearest princess...

this day has always been the day i treasure the most, along with other days that mark important milestones in my journey called life. this is the day i attained motherhood. this is the day my princess nadia nasira was born. i look forward to this day every year. for days, i would think about how i want to celebrate it...

how is the celebration going to be this year? i thought of what would make my princess really happy on her birthday. i planned it in my mind for days. i knew exactly how i was going to celebrate my lil gal's birthday. we are going to celebrate in school with her classmates and her teachers as they are an integral part of her life. furthermore, she comes home many days telling us about the many birthdays that were celebrated in her school and being the queen of the day will definitely boost her happiness.

both my husband and i planned to have cupcakes and some snack for her classmates. we ordered the cuppies from a dear friend of mine, prepared goody bags for everyone, including teachers and classmates. one of the days, nadia nasira saw the craft that i made for her classmates and she ran to me with a thank you hug. as a mother, it was a blessed moment to see my dearest being so happy. nothing beats my happiness than to see my children happy.

i realised that it is very easy to make our children happy. they are simple minded person. they appreciate every little kindness towards them. i happened to order some simple craft and word puzzle for her to work and it so happened that the item arrived on her birthday eve. i heard her saying to her brother that it was her birthday present. i felt so touched by her purity in thought and words. how i wish i was like her. no expectations but whatever put forth to her was so appreciated.

the day came... i gave her a huge hug and many kisses as i wished her. we went to her school, together with little nazhan nasr and aunty na. it was their break time. i pinned on her hair a little crown her aunty na got her. together with her classmates, we sang her happy birthday song. she blew her candles, ate her cake and the noodles i fried for the all the children at school. the children played a little and then, they moved on to their classes.

in her class, nadia nasira handed out goody bags to her classmates. it was so fulfilling to watch my little girl being the queen of the day. her brother who is also her classmate did not attempt to have the limelight shone on him. he just knew it was kakak's day and enjoyed himself. when we left the school, i could see this mummy's boy started his monkey tears while his sister waved away happily from a corner of the class. i, like any proud mother, waved back and left the children in good hands of theur teachers. i was also happy to see both the kakak and abang being classmates.

we had another celebration that night. daddy took us all out to TGI Fridays for a family dinner. we had a good dinner out...good food, good company and great children. nashwan nasr surprised me by behaving so well, ate his food all by himself without a single mess. daddy was surprised as well and he commented....he is so like his mummy...high maintenance! the waiters brought her the dessert and sang birthday song and nadia nasira was so thrilled...

happy birthday my dearest princess.... mummy wish you all the iman, health, wealth, lots of love and happiness as well as a blessed and protected life. may Allah's blessings be bountiful unto you darling....
