rome, from my eyes... part 2

this is day 2 of the trip... the plan is rome to pisa to florence to rome... the journey started very very early in the morning... we walked to the magliana train station to catch a train to termini station to catch the earliest train to pisa.  in the wee hours of the morning, it was so cold and dark. i wanted to take the long route to pisa as i wanted to enjoy the journey... i really did... i loved everything i saw... the houses, the stops, the plantations, the livestock and etc..... there was so much to see. i also enjoyed looking at the passengers that got on and off the train...

we passed by the station that would take us to the vatican city...

we reached the termini station and we practically ran to catch the train to pisa... my God, there were so so many platforms... hahaha in Malaysia, the most is 4 platforms.... i have never ran that much ever in my life...

sleepy face...

so excited going to the place i so wanted to go... the happy face...

one of the stations....

don't you love this.... it reminded me the movie nights in rodanthe...

heheehe i like the bee-hive on the guy's head....
announcing the arrival at Pisa Central Station... we took a bus from here to where the leaning tower is....

the first sight... amazing, isn't it?

as i entered to tall wall... except for the tourist here, this place looks so lonely and ancient...
the leaning tower... can you believe that i actually took the spiral stairs and i thought i was going to faint... the steps were uneven and since your system is not used to it, my knees almost gave way....

don't fall....

my tourist guide, truly one...

missed by a few milimeters...

nice one...

some write up... google please...
the entrance...

the effect of leaning tower, i tend to lean as well...

the spiral steps begins... can you see the steps curving in in the middle of each of the steps... the eroding effect by the visit of millions of tourists each year over hundreds of years...
the smile is deceiving... i was so scared...

so glad to be on top...

a flat land.... there is something i feel when i see my horizon stretched as far as the eye can see... i saw that in pakistan and now i see it here... in the middle east, not so bad coz even though it is desert, there were hills etc like it is here in malaysia. it limited my world into a small cluster. i felt safe... i feel so exposed looking at the entire universe as far as the eye can see....

the sight from the top.... are you afraid of heights?

lovely...

he is trying to hold on to the bell...

wonderful isn't it.... she is performing prayers...

remus and rumulus...

the journey continues to florence... where renainsance started....

on the train ride to florence, i saw a young girl writing this (more of vandelism but it simply reminded me of what we did when we were younger....

what is saw along the way...
arrival at florence...

you can see this almost everywhere in italy... a tomb or some sort...

beautiful florence in sunset...this is where i got my mum a shawl made in italy...

the hop on and hop off....

from on top of the bus... they have beggers as well....

florence...

david of michelangelo... did you ever wonder why he only carved perfect men?

at sunset.... masya Allah...

the duomo...

i like this pic... the duomo is such a beautiful architecture... it looks like a beautiful painting to me...
see what i mean?

what i love most about rome... the gelato break with my husband....

hmmm....reminds me of my pregnant days i wanted baskin robins..

in the eurostar that costs us euro50 per person...

i loved the ride back to rome but i treasure the ride to pisa as i saw the real italy...
back to rome... i realised that i am a city girl because it felt like going home...

a happy man he is...

the pretty tired wife of mohd nasir...
