roti jala

roti jala is one of my favourite... if you are a malaysian, it is fundamental for you to know what this dish is... eaten best with chicken curry for breakfast or tea time snack or at birthday, kenduri and whatever else function be it official or not...if you are holding an event and you are not sure what to serve, this is definitely a good choice provided it is accompanied by a perfectly cooked chicken curry...a friend of mine shared the secret in getting roti jala right on facebook... thank you amy...and thank you kak siti zaidah who must have been so kind to share it with amy...

here it is for my blog readers...1 kg flour, 3 eggs, 1 can evaporated milk or 450 ml milk, 450ml water, 1tsp salt, a lil bit of tumeric powder, 2 tbsp oil... Blend and sieve... complete the mission...if you don't know how to complete the mission, here is a link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85OqkB-OzNk&feature=endscreen

this is her product... hope to try it soon...

  1. 25years ago 'Roti Jala' was still in a far away distant land. Just like it's predecessor the roti canai, it is becoming a favourite Malaysian dish. Recently I had a dish similar to root jala in the Caribean. It was served with prepared sardine ( Msian style) on it.
