mummy: nadia nasira nak baby girl ke baby boy?
nadia nasira: baby girl.
mummy: tak nak baby boy?
nadia nasira: bagi adik.
we had this conversation so many times and nadia nasira has been consistant in her answers. well, i guess she is having a difficult time dealing with her brother who is always either biting her or beating her or fighting for toys, so she figured not another baby boy.....
mummy: ok, tell daddy.
nadia nasira: tell daddy to go hospital beli baby girl, ok?
mummy: ok!!!
'Life is a journey, not a destination' is the famous saying that has inspired me to write, with the hope that i will be able to capture the journey i had taken the last 37 years of my life as well as the years to come. My sincere gratitude to my family and friends who continue to make this journey worthwhile, not forgetting all those whose paths in life crossed mine, indeed, never failing to make the journey a better one.

zoo negara again....
well, this is my forth time in the last 4 years.... i was pregnant with nadia nasira, i was pregnant with muhammad nashwan nasr, one last year and one this year.... if i were to get pregnant again this year, i will definitely go again.....to the zoo!!! i love looking at the animals, more so watching the children looking at them. the curiosity, the excitement and all that they absorb through the experience really amaze me.
my son wasn't prepared for the size of the giraffe... he was so frightened and hugged me so tight for dear life. what he saw in the tv and books did not prepare him for the actual size. nadia nasira was a little afraid but she was ok looking at them, as long as not getting anywhere closer.
i distracted him with the flamingos but he kept looking behind his shoulder at the giraffes.i also took him into this closed glass room sponsored by Ribena and let him play with some children before we continued looking at the animals... he was much more prepared and relaxed thereon... he kept pointing at the giants that frightened him... the giraffes and elephants!!!
so romantic...
after a few years of marriage, we need space....

sand castle
i guess nadia nasira got to know about sand castles from the tv, of course.
i have had a packet of sand for sometime given by my MIL for the children but yet to find the right moment to let them play with it. i also got them some beach toys to go with it and last weekend, i presented to them.
muhammad nashwan nasr kept spilling them while nadia nasira was all excited. she filled the pail with sand and claimed that she has made a sand castle. i didn't correct her. i hope to let her experience building a real sand castle by the sea-side and i hope the idea would then sink in....
note the inflatable swimming pool in the background. it is from dhada latiff for the children and mummy got to bask in the water together with the children earlier that day...
