Genius Aulad hosted a morning with the rubber tappers truly living their branding theme lessons beyond classrooms. this is their second trip for the year. a trip to a mosque, being the first. my children went on the trip to taman warisan pertanian, putrajaya this morning. (note: i only went on a school trip when i was 16 years old.) they were excited about the trip. they had to bring along a small pail and a small towel with them (probably to pretend as rubber tappers). these are my little rubber tappers... going on Genius Aulad school trip dressed in hard rock cafe tshirts (i couldn't find any other white tshirts)...
difference between girls and boys... the brother toured nanni's garden while waiting for their transport...
'Life is a journey, not a destination' is the famous saying that has inspired me to write, with the hope that i will be able to capture the journey i had taken the last 37 years of my life as well as the years to come. My sincere gratitude to my family and friends who continue to make this journey worthwhile, not forgetting all those whose paths in life crossed mine, indeed, never failing to make the journey a better one.

lively street
on a day that we are blessed with a nice weather, this is the nornal scene in my neighbourhood.
there are many children of different age groups in my street. each child will have a friend to play with in another neighbour's houses. and mummies socialise too while overseeing their children playing... this is jeric, nashwan nasr's age... nashwan nasr is being over protective of his baby brother. i had to coax him to let little jeric play with the baby.

nanni's backyard, 2
latest updates on the hatchlings at nanni's backyards. they already have feathers. i believe soon they find their wings and will be ready to fly away. until the day comes, i will watch over them. it will be sad to come home to an empty nest one day... doesn't this sound like how our parenthood is going to be one day? i pray that our nests will not be empty nests but lively and warm nests with lots of children and grandchildren to decorate our lives. God bless our nests, ameen.

nazhan nasr's milestone
little nazhan nasr is now a little over six months now...
that is his allahyarham grandfather's kain pelikat he is laying on chewing on his milk bottle... the kain pelikat is very dear to me.... all my children did not sit on his lap but used his kain pelikat in various instances. to the ignorant some, it may be very kampung but do i care?
just before he turned two months, i saw his first smile. soon after that, he started babbling and almost screaming. he was able to grab anything and guess where it goes? his mouth. he then found his foot and it goes straight into his mouth as well. like his big brother, he rolled over at five and a half month. at six months he was able to hold his bottle of milk almost steady.
mummy is his best friend and his pacifier. he loves his sister and is always aware of his brother and the latest mischief his brother is able to think off... he is most adorable when he smiles or simply holds your gaze with his big big innocent eyes, looking as if he would want to say something. it is also now that he knows who his mummy is. when i come home from work, his eyes would follow me wherever i go without blinking while merenggek for me to carry him. only then, he would look at everyone else with a victorious look...
i look forward to many more milestones to come...

at nanni's backyard
i heard my children talking about eggs that has yet to hatch. i was wondering what it was all about. my daughter took me to nanni's backyard and pointed to me this.... i have never seen this live... i was speechless.... apparently, it was nanni and her grandchildren's little project. everyday, they would keep track of the development. i adore the enthusiasm my children showed about the life within... observe and love nature for you will see the Creator in every little thing...
after a few days, the lives within emerged....

reading habits
i have always wanted to take the children to a library in an effort to inculcate reading habits in them while they are very young.
during the recent school holidays, one of the destination were the national library. i wanted them to experience being around lots and lots of books as well as among people who are QUIETLY reading. i didn't know that there was a children's library in there with a sea of children's books.
nadia nasira found a Peter and Jane book, happily read it from page 1 to the last page. she was very proud. i read with her a book and i was amazed to note that she could identify the words she already knew as well new words that repeated itself. nashwan nasr picked up a book and pretended to read. after a few minutes, he picked up another which went on and on. some books he picked up, he will create a story from pictures. he also ran around a bit. daddy read to nazhan nasr who remained quiet as if he knew where he was.
we didn't stay for a long time as we know that their attention span is very short but promised to come by another time... i am happy that they enjoyed the outing. more so, my little girl who impatiently wants to know how to read asap.

my bob the builder
i was busy in the kitchen while my little girl was in the toy room 'main masak masak'. there were utter silence. something was not right. the house is only this quiet during the children's nap time.
so, i went around to see if everyone was alright. my! my! this was the reason for the silence. my bob the builder was at work, oblivious to mummy and her camera...
