this is our eid story... this year was a little different as my gynae had adviced us against travelling for fear of early delivery. so, the trip to mum's home will need to be postponed! our eid was in the metropolitan city... this eid was special and different for various reasons.
every year, my husband will light some lampu pelita api on the 27th of ramadhan, so he did the same this year. it was fun for the children as we played some bunga api as well.
i didn't really get my self a proper eid dress but a nice to would suffice. i got my husband some east india shirts which is a routine every eid. my husband had already got new new clothes for the kids from one of his trips... my mother in law gave me a beautiful piece of baju kurung material. something special happened this time... my sister in law who couldn't find a tailor bought a sewing machine and surprised us with a baju kurung and baju melayu for my children.... amazing!
the day before eid, we put up at my mil's as my tradition. i come from a big family so i really cheerish the togetherness with family especially the night before eid.... that is why i wanted to be at my mil's eventhough my house is 5 minute drive away...
eid routine... hubby has breakfast and went for the prayers. my son also went for his first friday prayers which was his first visit to a mosque though we promised him we would on his second birthday... next would be breakfast after the boys returned from the mosque followed by the visit to the dhadha's grave...
we did go for some visiting during the raya break... to dhadha osmans, my sister in law's, my best friend, sherry who was leaving to cambridge and nuff's (i'm her dad's favourite), my sister's (was so excited with my visit) and finally, to the gynae for my final ante-natal....
