one day, i decided to look at my garden through my nikon lenses... i was speechless looking at the results. the morning sunlight gave the glow to my plants distributing the light in the most natural manner....
not that my garden is one of the finest in town since i have yet to decide on the landscape design but the plants were grown with love... so much love... i am not a passionate gardener but along the way, i developed love for the plants when i started my collection from what my mil, her sister, my own mother and my sister gave me. there were plants that died too including some that i bought from nurseries for the lack of care, not knowing how and interest...
i really don't know when i started falling in love with gardening... i think it was somewhere in september 2011 when my sister got me lots of orchids and me not knowing what to do. i wanted a three tier rack to put all my orchids and off we went to sungai buloh. the rest is history. Please read here.
i realise that along the way, we may pick up new liking which may turn into passion when you put your heart and soul into it. i am just someone who has so much passion for a lot of things and i hope God will grant me the time and patience... i once heard my mum say that everything i touch will turn into gold... so pleased that my mum thinks of me in such a manner and i would really love to believe that....
this is a plant my mum gave me which took ages to grow and flower. well, it did finally with a little help from the fertilisers....
to tell you the truth, i have loved this plant since i was a little girl. i love the japanese roses in a variety of colours. so easy to grow, it smiles at me every morning if i left late enough as well as in the evening if i came home early enough. i first took them from my mum's and added some of the colours from my neighbours'....
the yellow and red roses are my husband's in memory if his dad who loved it. it needs to be nursed as i see stained leaves...oh by the way, did you notice the ceramic pots instead of the plastic pots? my husband is a bit conservative when it comes to the made of the pots.
1 NIKKOR VR 30-110mm lenses gives these effects...
this is one of the carnation breed that died on me several times until my mum grew it for me...
you see... i believe in educating children at a very young age to care for a living thing. pets are forbidden and therefore, here are my children's plants chosen by me, of course... they chose the pots and their aunt wrote their names on it...
we have four desert rose plants also known as adenium obesum... one for each of the children and one symbolising the parents...
this is a must have plant...
karpuravalli... Please read here.
tulasi...
this plant i have it since i delivered muhammad nashwan nasr for whom i was in confinement here instead of my mum's... my mum planted the branches that the confinement lady brought for my herbal bath.
curry leaves that i got from my mum and my mil's sister...
the plants look so great in the morning sunlight...
these are not all of my collection... there are other plants that makes my garden especially the ones my mil gave me i.e. the pinang merah and pine tree as well as those i recently got from sungai buloh... i can't wait to do up my garden and look at it again through my nikon lenses...
I once got into trouble at the airport carrying the 'karpuravalli' a few years. A blood hound sniffed it out. Of course, the herbal content of this plant is unknown to many. 'Tulsi' is known as basil in the West. Both smell same. It's also considered herb. I am sure when you were in Rome, might have had basil in every sauce the Italians made.
