squid cutlet

squid cutlet is one of my mum's special recipe....have never known anyone else even speak of it. she had always cooked for us since we were small. we loved it. when i was back home in ipoh during the raya holidays, my mum cooked it again. it is finger licking good and it is never enough no matter how many you have eaten.

and for the first time, i made it last night. i was wondering why it hadn't occured to me to ever cook it. hmmm.... it think i will share it with everyone here...

10 ekor sotong daun ketumbar (dihiris halus)
daun bawang (dihiris halus)
3 ulas bawang merah (dihiris halus)
3 ulas bawang putih (dihiris halus)
salt
1 egg
oil for frying

and i added chili flakes and 1 teaspoon bryani masala

blend sotong together with 1 tablespoon uncooked rice, jangan sampai lumat sangat. you must be able to find unblendered pieces in it. add the rest of the bahan-bahan. break an egg into it. mix well and drop 1 spoon of the mixture into hot oil and fry it. the cutlet should be small so that it will cook well.

my husband really liked it and asked many questions about it.

i sent some blendered squid to my MIL and told my maid to do the rest. hope it turns out well....
