rome, from my eyes...

the journey began from KLIA. my sis in law and her fiancee dropped us off at the airport and hubs went of to report duty.  in a while, her came back to help me check in.  he left again while o waited to board the plane.  i was excited but a part of me was left behind with the children.  i think hubs was quite excited that wifey was travelling for the first time with him onboard.  i left with a lot of prayers that my children will be fine with my family. indeed, they were.

i bid my farewell to the children and boarded the plane.  hubs did all he could to make me feel as comfortable as possible.  it was just after midnight.  guess what yours trully did when she boarded the plane, she asked for blanket and dozed off even before the plane hit the runaway... well, this is what i normally do during almost all my trips overseas.  i do not like to sit around and wait for hours and hours to reach the destination.  i know that hubs did ask me about my meals and i think i told him that i'd skip it.  i woke up about 10 am malaysian time, watched a movie i.e. pretty woman (set the mood for the honeymoon i was on)and was all fresh and ready to step my foot in rome...

immigration process was a breeze. this morning sun that greeted me.  we took the airport transfer for the crew to get to the hotel.  i felt the same memory i had when i travelled to frankfurt many many years ago.... the airport, the people, the weather and even the smell.

the morning jam on a weekday isn't in KL only....
we arrived at the hotel in time to see other patrons going out of the hotel, some looked like tourists to me while others look like myself in one of the hotels when i was on my business trips.  we reached the room and got ready to leave right away as time was of essence...

we took the hotel shuttle to the city and the bus dropped us off on this street.
everywhere i turn to, i can see something of the past... an old building, a church, a tomb or even ruins of buildings....
see what i mean?
notice the depth.  tells you something about the ancient architecture, does't it?
this is me on the hop on and hop off bus to took us around the city... i was excited, very! so was my hubs.

the bus went through this street.  it was very narrow and winding.  notice the buildings on both sides of the street?
